You yourself being a regular player must be tired of hearing these poker myths multiple times from people who have never played the game. And if you agree with us, you would understand the effort it takes to correct these myths is way too much and you could rather invest that energy to win a poker tournament.

1. Poker is not all about the face expression. There is nothing called a poker face. This is one of the most widespread myths of poker. You don’t have to look expressionless and have the ‘I will kill you after the showdown’ look to play poker.

3. Poker is not all about the luck. Unlike many other games poker requires the player to analyze a lot of factors. As rounds pass by all players gets the same amount of good and bad cards. It’s how you handle the cards that will depend on you winning and loosing. For example you can have a bad hand, but still win by bluffing. The same applies if you have a good hand and if you don’t play it well you are loosing money that you could have got.
4. Poker is not all about the mathematics. In poker, unlike blackjack you have other players to deal with. It has many human factors involved.
